1. The service

Hale is an AI-powered health information assistant provided by : health chat with memory, symptom guide, medicine tracking and reminders, interaction warnings, explanations of test results and records, doctor visit summaries, measurements and health score, an emergency card, and family and caregiver features.

Hale is not a doctor, not a medical device and does not provide health care. It does not diagnose and does not recommend treatments, medicines or doses; it does not replace the judgment of a health professional. What it says may be wrong. Make health decisions together with your doctor or pharmacist.

In an emergency, do not wait for the app — call your local emergency number right away.

2. Your account and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Hale. You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure; we recommend turning on the app lock.

Family profiles: if you create a profile for your child or a relative you care for, you confirm that you are allowed to do so, that you have their permission where required, and that you are responsible for how that profile is used.

Caregiver invites: you choose what the person you invite can see and you can remove access at any time. As a caregiver, you use the information shown to you only to support that person's care.

3. Medicine reminders and notifications

Reminders are a helpful tool. They can be delayed or not delivered because of device settings, battery saving, silent modes, operating system limits or connectivity. Taking the right medicine at the right time and dose remains your responsibility. Medicine reminders, the emergency card, measurements and memory are never paid features.

4. Health records, document reading and doctor summaries

Values and explanations read from documents you upload may contain errors. Always check the original report and your doctor before making important decisions. You can correct values read by the app.

Doctor summaries are generated from information you entered and recorded; they are not a medical record. If you create a share link, anyone with the link can open the summary for 24 hours; you are responsible for whom you share it with.

5. Subscriptions, trials and payment

Hale's core features are free. Hale Plus (weekly or yearly) is purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and charged to your store account. Prices may vary by country and are shown before you buy.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Manage or cancel in your store account's subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds follow Apple's or Google's rules. Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers in the EU, UK and Türkiye are exercised through the store's processes.

Plus features are subject to fair-use limits (for example a daily message ceiling) set so that normal personal use is not affected.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Hale for unlawful purposes; to process other people's health data without permission; to provide services to patients as a health professional; to overload the system, bypass security measures, scrape data with automated tools, reverse-engineer the app, or use its outputs to train another product.

If you ask for content aimed at harming yourself or others, Hale will only point you to sources of help.

7. Content and intellectual property

The information you enter and the documents you upload are yours. You grant us the limited, non-exclusive right needed to provide the service (storing, encrypting, processing with AI and showing it to you); this right ends when you delete the content or your account.

The Hale app, its design, brand and software belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that Hale will be uninterrupted, error-free or correct in every situation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made based on Hale's information, for delayed or undelivered notifications, or for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Hale in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or under mandatory consumer protection law.

9. Termination

You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaches these terms or puts the security of the service at risk; where possible we will tell you in advance and give you reasonable time to export your data.

10. Changes

We may update the service and these terms. We will tell you about material changes in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Hale after changes means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can delete your account.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without limiting the mandatory consumer rights and competent courts of your country of residence. Apple-specific term: Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app. Contact: [email protected].
